Joaquin Niemann Earns 1st PGA Tour Win With SuperStroke At The Greenbrier

WIXOM, MICHIGAN — Joaquin Nieman dominated the PGA Tour’s season-opening event, A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, winning by six shots with a SuperStroke Traxion Flatso 2.0 putter grip. It is the first PGA Tour win for the 20-year-old, as well as the first PGA Tour win for a golfer from Chile.

Neiman led the field in Strokes-Gained Putting at The Greenbrier, picking up nearly 9 strokes over the field on the greens. Nieman’s putter was also its strongest when it mattered most; he rolled in six birdies over the last nine holes to build his margin of victory.

“Congratulations to Joaquin Nieman on this very important win,” said SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “His play was absolutely fantastic throughout the week — and especially on Sunday.”

The Traxion Flatso 2.0 putter grip features SuperStroke’s distinct pentagonal “Flatso” profile: a wide and flat front section with five pronounced edges. Flatso was popularized by Jordan Spieth, who has used the Flatso 1.0 putter grip for each of his three major championship victories. The Flatso 2.0 profile is larger than Spieth’s grip but smaller than the larger Flatso 3.0.

Like all SuperStroke Traxion putter grips, Traxion Flatso models feature Traxion Control, an advanced surface texture that boosts responsiveness. Its design strategically places “X-shaped treads” in “Traxion Zones” throughout the grip, amplifying feedback in the areas where the sensitive parts of a golfer’s hands contact the grip surface.

Traxion Series grips also debut SuperStroke’s Spyne Technology, a heavily embossed ridge on the underside of the grips. Spyne Technology functions as a reminder that guides golfers to repeatable hand placement.

Traxion Series putter grips ($29.99 USD each) are available in 15 distinct models including the new Traxion CLAW 2.0, which was created specifically to accommodate the many variations of the fast-growing Claw grip.
